但我很穷,只有梦;

我把我的梦铺在你脚下;

He wishes for the cloths of heaven

If I have the cloths of heaven,

Man Jinguang and silver embroidered,

That night, during the day and evening

Woven blue, grey and black damask,

I will put them lay at your feet:

But I am poor, have only my dreams;

I have spread my dreams under your feet;

Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams.

4. he wishes for the cloths of heaven

Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,

Enwrought with golden and silver light,

The blue and the dim and the dark cloths

Of night and light and the half-light,

I would spread the cloths under your feet:

But I, being poor, have only my dreams;

I have spread my dreams under your feet;

Tread softly because you tread upon my dreams

但我,贫穷,只有我的梦想;

我有我的梦铺在你脚下;

Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,

Enwrought with golden and silver light,

The blue and the dim and the dark cloths

Of night and light and the half-light,

I would spread the cloths under your feet:

But I, being poor, have only my dreams;

I have spread my dreams under your feet;

Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams.
