据说这首歌的创作背景是霉霉的父母强烈反对她和一个男生交往，霉霉得到了《罗密欧与朱丽叶》的灵感，联系自己的生活实际写下了这首歌。而且不同于莎士比亚的悲剧结尾，霉霉的结尾两人用真挚的爱情感化了父母，过上幸福的生活。
